Donauinselfest 2024: Full mobile reception thanks to green hydrogen from the H2Genset

Countless music enthusiasts visit the Vienna Donauinselfest every year, this also happened last weekend. This event offers entertainment for all generations. Families, children and senior citizens, everyone can enjoy a variety of great highlights! However, when so many people come to one place, unrestricted mobile phone reception is particularly important. That's why four additional mobile transmitters were deployed on the "Donauinsel" for the duration of the Donauinsel Festival last weekend, operated by Drei Österreich. These are usually supplied with power by diesel generators, as there is no comprehensive power supply on the Donauinsel. In order to test how festivals of this type and size can be made more environmentally friendly in the future, Wien Energie GmbH and Drei Österreich called in TEST-FUCHS this year for a pilot project for the first time in Vienna to operate one of these transmitters with green hydrogen. We were commissioned to operate the transmitters with green hydrogen from our #H2Genset, the mobile hydrogen power generator.
